1. Information on this site
The guides, the battery finder and the AI battery advisor give general information to help you choose a battery. We try to keep them correct, but we cannot promise that every detail is complete or right for every vehicle. Electrical systems differ between models, years and previous repairs.
The AI advisor produces a suggestion by computer. It can be wrong. Please confirm the battery size and type with us before you buy, and have a battery tested before you decide that it has failed.
2. Handling and fitting a battery
Car batteries contain sulphuric acid and can give off explosive gas while charging. Please:
- Wear eye protection and gloves.
- Keep flames, sparks and cigarettes away from a battery.
- Disconnect the negative terminal first and reconnect it last.
- Never connect the terminals the wrong way round.
- Lift with care. Many car batteries weigh more than 15 kg.
We recommend that a trained person fits your battery, and that cars with start-stop systems have the new battery registered to the car. If you fit a battery yourself, you do so at your own risk.
3. Our responsibility
We are responsible for supplying the product you ordered, in the condition described, and for the remedies set out in our warranty and refund policy. We are not liable for loss that could not reasonably have been foreseen, such as loss of earnings caused by a vehicle being off the road, except where the law says we must be.
This notice does not limit your rights under Kenyan consumer law.
4. Brands
Varta and Amaron are trademarks of their owners. We are an authorised dealer for both brands and we are not the manufacturer. Product specifications come from the manufacturers and may change without notice.
Not sure what your car needs?
Call or WhatsApp us with your car make, model and year. We will tell you which battery fits before you pay.
